Olá! Today I will go through the Ciclopista dei Sogni that, from the Hotel Panorama of Limone del Garda (Reamol locality), reaches the border with the autonomous province of Trento.

Two and a half meters wide at something like fifty meters height overhanging the lake, clinging to the rock walls, runs for 2 km parallel to the Gardesana (Strada Statale 45 bis)

Must be said that, with its metal structure and the wood-effect concrete flooring, it seems almost to be on board a beautiful sailing ship
The works for its construction started on 26 September 2016 and was inaugurated on 14 July 2018.

However, the new cycle path is only the beginning of a bigest project:
The future Ciclovia del Garda with about 140 km will embrace Garda’s Lake touching the regions of Trentino, Veneto and Lombardy, with possible connection to the Cycleways of del Sole and del vento.

How to get there:

By Bus: with the Brescia – Riva del Garda line of Brescia Nord.

Here are the schedules that I photographed at the bus stop 😉

By car:The problem it is not much the road but where to leave the car.The nearest place to park is at Limone del Garda’s center.
Let me help you: set the navigator on Via Lungolago Guglielmo Marconi, 50, Limone sul GardaThere you’ll find a big multi-storey car park with, nearby, a large street parking.I advise you NOT to venture out in leaving your car in the hotel parks near the path because you might risk not finding it anymore…Once parked, keep on Via Lungolago Guglielmo Marconi having the lake on your right, cross Piazza Garibaldi and then continue on the new Via Reamol. Pass the Astor hotel, the hotel Villa Romantica and, a little further, you will see a staircase on your left that will lead you into the main road SS45bis (alternatively, wanting to avoid the stairs, there’s a steep road a few meters ahead)
Once you reach the main road go right, until you see the beginning of the track. This first part goes up and down so get ready with comfortable shoes and water bottles.I traced (the best I could 😀 ) the path in the map below:

It’s about a 9 km round trip (2,5 from the parking to the Hotel Panorama – where the cycle/pedestrian track begins- and other 2 km and a half of cycle track)

Bike and eBike rental

Near the multi-storey car park of the Lungolago Marconi, a rental point has been set up where you can rent eBikes to be used exclusively for the new cycle path.
Rates: 20 euros half day, 30 euros all day.If you plan to prolong the trip riding the eBike then contact Let’s Go Limone in Via IV Novembre, 20, adjacent to the Hotel Limone

There you can also rent Mountain-bikes, City-Bikes and children bicycles.Another point where you can rent a City-Bike is Tombola Rent in Via Luigi Einaudi, 1 / b

Did you get hungry?

If at the end of the walk you fell hungry, as happened to me, before retaking your car, you can stop by the lake and eat somethingI stopped here where I found a really friendly service
Astor Spiaggia Snack bar

And to finish the day in the best way, I will dive into these beautiful water
